Training
Maurice began formally designing and delivering training in 2003 for Hounslow Youth service. In 2003 he designed and delivered a training program to Youth For Christ (YFC) in South Africa and took part in a conference there. He has also delivered training and been the keynote speaker on a number of occasions at conferences for the NAZ project, of which he is also a board member.
In 2008 Maurice delivered a series of training sessions with NAHIP on implementing the assertiveness training program he designed and delivered in 2007. He also recently worked with Steenburg Consultancy over 4 months as the lead facilitator, training all youth workers, youth offending team workers, social workers, probation officers, and police officers in Hackney on implementing a new strategic document on information sharing launched by Hackney Council. He has designed and is currently delivering another national training programme on a new strategic document, the Knowledge, the Will and the Power (KWP), aimed at supporting organisations working to reduce the acquisition and transmission of HIV within the African community across the UK.
